The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Interstate Highway Construction (IHC) will host a public open house from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at the Glenwood Springs Community Center, Sopris Room C, at 100 Wulfsohn Road.

The purpose for the open house is to inform the public and answer questions about CDOT’s upcoming I-70 westbound Glenwood Canyon concrete resurfacing project. The project is set to begin March 26 and continue through May 24. Work will include concrete resurfacing of the westbound lanes from No Name (exit 119) to the Hanging Lake Rest Area (exit 125).

Cub Scout Pack 223 announces the Annual Cake Auction at the Graham Mesa Elementary School in Rifle, Saturday, March 10, with bidding beginning at 1 p.m.



Come purchase delicious, beautiful, and creatively decorated cakes made by the scouts helping the scouts learn about fund raising and community involvement.

Help Cub Scout Pack 223 in helping boys grow in to men who care about their community, friends and fellow citizens. The boys are working hard creating tasty cakes, and your support would be greatly appreciated. Graham Mesa Elementary School is located at 1575 Farmstead Parkway in Rifle. The West Garfield County Landfill begins its summer hours this weekend. The landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Sunday starting on March 11.
