The Roaring Fork Young Professionals present a Panel Discussion with the Candidates at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Visitors Center/Glenwood Chamber at 802 Grand Ave. in Glenwood Springs. Current county commissioners John Martin and Mike Samson will sit on a panel with their opponents Sonja Linman and Aleks Briedis. The candidates will introduce themselves and talk for a few minutes about their campaign, but most of the time will be spent in a question and answer format.

This event is free for RFYP members and $10 for nonmembers.

Teens are invited to join us at the New Castle Branch Library, 402 W. Main, for the library’s first ever Teen Book Club. We will be discussing Douglas Adams’ “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12.
