Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers is looking for volunteers to help improve and rebuild sections of the popular No Name Trail in Glenwood Canyon, on Saturday, Sept. 22. The work day runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes dinner for volunteers.
Goals for the project are to bring the first three miles of the trail up to a sustainable standard. Under the direction of experienced crew leaders, volunteers will focus on constructing several rock retaining walls to support the trail, building stone steps, enhancing drainage, trimming encroaching vegetation, and reinforcing and repairing the damaged pedestrian bridge in the first three miles the trail.
RFOV and its project partners provide the tools, materials, leadership, and dinner for the project.
