In celebration of Glenwood Springs being voted “The Most Fun Town In America” by Rand McNally, the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association will unveil the 10-foot by 20-foot mural of downtown Glenwood Springs by local artist Mary Pilon at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 in Centennial Park, 9th and Grand Avenue.
The detailed mural has been several months in the making and is featured on the Chamber’s annual greeting card for 2012. The public is encouraged to attend and enjoy cookies, hot apple cider and hot cocoa.
Vic’s Route 6 is hosting the Marr Family Team Dinner and Benefit from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12. The silent auction includes artwork, restaurant and store gift certificates, wine and more. The benefit also features a drawing for Denver Broncos tickets. Prices are $20 for adults and $10 for children for lunch or dinner. Proceeds benefit the Marr family.

Teens are invited to make creative Christmas gifts using duct tape and their imaginations at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the Silt Branch Library, 680 Home Ave. This is a free event.
