Veterans can still get free flu shots at the VA Medical Center satellite site in Glenwood Springs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For details, call 970-945-1007.
Veterans are encouraged to get the shot even if they have already had the flu as there is more than one type. This is the most severe flu season in several years.
Veterans do not have to be enrolled with the VA Medical Center to receive the shot. They just need to provide proof of military service.

The Carbondale Public Arts Commission (CPAC) is seeking 12 new sculptures for its popular 10th anniversary edition of the Art aRound Town exhibition. Submissions for entry are available through the CaFE (Call for Entry) website at http://www.callforentry.org. The deadline for entries is Feb. 28. Notification of final selections will be made on March 15. Artists must submit two views of of the piece being submitted for potential exhibition designated “Proposal Image,” along with three additional support images showing other examples of their work.

Gallery 809 is featuring a “Winter Scenes Exhibit” throughout the month of January. It is a collaboration of numerous talented artists within the valley.
