Community Center tennis courts open April 17

The Glenwood Springs Community Center will officially open its newly constructed outdoor asphalt tennis courts at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 17.

City representatives will be present for the ribbon cutting, where information about tennis lessons and leagues will be available.

Tennis players can make reservations for the courts beginning Saturday, May 1. Reservations are taken up to three days in advance; fees are $5 per court for 11⁄2 hours, due at time of reservation. Community Center members can reserve and use tennis courts at no charge.

“The convenience of the Community Center adjacent to the the courts makes for a more inclusive facility as it unfolds. Everyone will be pleased,” said recreation coordinator Kathleen Milbrath.
