“Jumpin’ Jive for Jeanette,” a musical benefit to help Jeanette Hill with her 10-year fight against breast cancer will be held at Beau Jo’s at Buffalo Valley Sports Bar on Sunday, March 28, from 2-8 p.m. $20 donation at the door.Appetizers donated by: The Bayou, The Diner, Rivers Restaurant, Fin’s Grille and more. Drink specials courtesy of Beau Jo’s. Door prize: one-year pass to the Hot Springs Pool. The family of Rosie Ferrin has worked to clean up and make safe again the old schoolhouse in downtown New Castle. Ferrin died this summer and had owned the building that included classrooms turned into apartments for years.
