The Glenwood Springs High School girls soccer team will host a car wash this Saturday, May 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the high school parking lot. All money raised will go toward the team’s expenses as they head into the state tournament as league champions.

The Carbondale Clay Center is holding a First Friday opening reception for new resident artists Holly Curcio and Elliot Marquet from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 7. Call 963-2529 for information.

Lulubelle, a new women’s clothing store at 320 Main St. in Carbondale, has a boutique opening from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, including an evening open house as part of Carbondale’s First Friday celebration.There will be gift card drawings Friday and throughout the weekend. The Whimsical Women of the West are celebrating spring. Eighteen artisans will be showing their work in the loft of the barn at Four Mile Creek Bed and Breakfast. A percentage of sales will go to the Arts Round Room at the Third Street Center in Carbondale. The event is Friday, May 7, 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, May 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Four Mile Creek Bed and Breakfast is located on the road to Sunlight Ski Area. Zumba fitness classes Fridays at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. All moms are invited to join us for this Latin-style fitness class. Child care is available. Call Denise at 618-4745 for more info.
