Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale is hosting a community open house beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, for parents and future students to learn more about the opportunities available at the school.Current RFHS students, parents, teachers and administrators will be available to answer questions and give their perspectives. For more information, call Debbie at 963-1348.Financial Peace UniversityFinancial Peace University is a 13-week program that helps people dump their debt, get control of their money, and learn new behaviors around money that are founded on commitment and accountability. This class is perfect for everyone from the financially secure to the financially distressed. Glenwood Springs Women’s Connection invites all women to brunch from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at AmericInn of Glenwood Springs (at the base of the tram). Jamie Wilkins, a local occupational therapist will help us get a good start on our New Year’s resolutions with information about health and fitness. Speaker Sharon Mueller of Caon City will share inspirational thoughts on “What Type of Container are You and What Do You Contain?” Brunch and program cost $10 or $5 for first-time guests.
