The Western Slope Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Collaborative will offer a three-day CNG inspector training from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, at the Garfield County Road and Bridge Shop in Rifle.

The course is designed for mechanics and vehicle fleet managers to learn CNG vehicle basics and to develop skills required to perform CNG safety inspections on vehicles. Upon successful completion of the final test each student will receive an AFTOE CNG Vehicle Fuel System Inspector Certificate. The $500 course is open to the general public and partners of the Western Slope CNG Collaborative. Class is limited 15 people. The trainer will be Mike Millet,, Alternative Fuels Training Outreach and Education.
