Free breast exams for senior women 55 and older will be conducted at Manor 2 in Glenwood Springs Thursday, June 25, from 1-4 p.m. Sarah Oliver, Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, will provide these exams as well as educate women in breast self-examination. She will refer women without insurance to cover mammograms to a program to obtain a mammogram at a local hospital. The Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Aspen has awarded a grant to Columbine Home Health to provide this service to senior women. To schedule an appointment contact Sarah Oliver at 618-3606.

Literacy Outreach is looking for volunteers to tutor people who are eager to improve their reading, writing, math, or English speaking skills. Volunteers need at least two hours of time per week to work one-one-one with an adult, the ability to read and speak English, and the desire to help someone who wants to learn.Volunteer information sessions will on held June 30 and July 2 at Rifle Branch Library at 6 p.m., and on July 1 at the Parachute Branch Library at 10 a.m. and at the Silt Branch library at noon.
