Farm Bureau Insurance is sponsoring a food drive for the Rifle and Glenwood Springs LIFT-UP offices. The drive will run through Aug. 31. Please drop any canned or boxed item off at either Farm Bureau Insurance office in Rifle, at 443 East Ave., or Glenwood Springs, at 51241 Highway 6, Suite 2.Farm Bureau Insurance will also have a booth at the Garfield County Fair Aug. 5-8 and will be accepting donations there as well.For more information contact Kristen Hodgden, Victoria Diguglielmo, or Gina Long in Rifle at 625-1496, or in Glenwood at 945-9165.

Colorado Voices for Coverage (CVC) hosts a health care reform informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Glenwood Springs Community Center, Sopris Room A, 100 Wulfsohn Road.CVC is a coalition of four Colorado nonprofits (Colorado Consumer Health Initiative, Business Health Forum, Colorado Council of Churches and the Colorado Progressive Coalition). Last summer, CVC traveled to 21 Colorado communities asking, “What can you afford to pay for health care?” Participants at tonight’s meeting will learn about the results of that study, updates on current federal health care reform efforts, and how to get involved.
