Community News & Notes
The Glenwood Elks Lodge #2286 will be holding its 24th annual Memorial Dinner on Dec. 20 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., or so. All elderly, disabled and really anyone in need of a hot meal and companionship are invited to a dinner of turkey, ham, stuffing and other trimmings – and pumpkin pie, too! The lodge is located in West Glenwood, and any questions will be answered by Pam Regan at 274-1575.
We had to cancel this tree decorating due to inclement weather last Sunday, but are going to do it again this Sunday, Dec. 20, 1:30 p.m. We are remembering our loved ones that we have all lost. Anyone is welcome. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served. Please come and share the memories of our loved ones. We have ornaments and multicolored sharpies to decorate them with or you can bring any ornaments of your own that you would like to hang on the tree. This tree will remain lighted until the second week of January. For information please contact Bonnie Strong at (970) 379-9151.
