Conifer too much for Glenwood girls
Glenwood Springs, CO Colorado
CONIFER, Colorado – Digging itself in an early hole, the Glenwood Springs girls basketball team was unable to come away with a win at Conifer on Friday.
Down 20-8 after a quarter, the Demons couldn’t conjure up a rally, dropping a 62-38 decision in the second round of the 4A girls basketball state playoffs.
“You know, they are a good ballclub,” Glenwood Springs coach Bryan Derby said of his squad’s Friday foe. “We just came out flat to start.
Conifer amassed a large lead in the first half and never relented.
The Demons (13-11) were led in scoring by Connor Adams, who netted 10 points. Lexie Warkentin chipped in with seven and Kenzie Kuhn and McKenzie Nelson-Buehler scored six apiece.
