Glenwood Springs police arrested a man who allegedly hid inside Kmart until it closed and tried to steal electronics Sunday night.Adan Perez Robles, 20, was arrested around 9 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal tampering. He hasn’t been implicated in any of the other approximately 20 recent burglaries in the area.”I don’t have a real high degree of confidence that this is the same one that’s been doing so many around the valley,” Police Chief Terry Wilson said. But he added that police will investigate any possible links.According to Wilson, Perez Robles visited Kmart while it was open, and hid in a back storage area until after the store closed. Police were alerted after Perez Robles allegedly set off an alarm in the electronics department. An officer entered the store and discovered Perez Robles wearing a black ski mask, bandanna and gloves, Wilson said. Perez Robles admitted to police that he was going to steal some items, Wilson said, and it appeared he tried to get into an office area.Contact Pete Fowler: 384-9121pfowler@postindependent.comPost Independent, Glenwood Springs Colorado CO
