Cop’s sexual assault comment appalling
Dear Editor,
I am profoundly saddened and appalled by the behavior of the Glenwood Springs police officer who questioned Rebecca Cossins after she was sexually assaulted.
I suggest the officer ask his wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother if they would “enjoy” being attacked by a rapist.
Obviously, the officer has a total lack of understanding of the violent nature and intent of rape as well as the pain, terror and revulsion a woman goes through who has been assaulted.
