Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven or otherwise pleading guilty in court.-On Sept. 12 at 2:44 p.m., Glenwood Springs police were called to a gas station on report of harassment. Michael Wayne Bowen, 46, of Tucson, Ariz., was arrested on suspicion of harassment.-On Sept. 13 at 1:42 a.m., Glenwood Springs police spotted a motorist failing to drive in his designated lane. Officers cited Jesus Maria Bustillos-Rascon, 24, of Gypsum on suspicion of driving without a valid license, misuse of license plates, driving under the influence, careless driving and driving without proof of insurance.-On Sept. 13 at 3:42 p.m., Rifle police spotted a car on West 1st Street with no license plates. Cassie Lindberg, 20, of Rifle was cited for having no registration or plates, and the car was impounded.-On Sept. 13 at 3:45 p.m., workers at Wal-Mart called Glenwood Springs police to report a suspected shoplifter. Police arrested Juan Carlos Castillo-Molina, 48, of Apple Tree Park in New Castle, on suspicion of petty theft. The value of the allegedly stolen item was $8.98.-On Sept. 13 at 8:07 p.m., Rifle police stopped a motorist for a noise ordinance violation, then noticed signs of intoxication. Anastacio Velasco-Lopez, 24, of Rifle was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and driving with a suspended license, and on a warrant from Mesa County for failure to appear on a previous drunk driving charge.-On Sept. 13 at 10:20 p.m., Glenwood Springs police stopped a motorist on Highway 6 & 24 for speeding. Officers arrested Humberto Bello-Barreda, 24, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of speeding and driving under the influence. He was later released on a summons.-On Sept. 14 at 1:11 a.m., Glenwood Springs police spotted a vehicle weaving while driving on 6th Street. Officers cited Erick Hosfel Joya-Briseno, 22, of Carbondale on suspicion of weaving, driving without a valid license and driving while impaired.-On Sept. 14 at 2:40 a.m., Glenwood Springs police stopped a motorist who was weaving in the 2700 block of South Glen Avenue. Officers cited Miguel Angel Vega-Avila, 23, of Carson City, Nev., on suspicion of weaving and driving while impaired.-On Sept. 14 at 3:10 p.m., Rifle police were called to a residence on Acacia Avenue for a family disturbance. Officers arrested Christina Cooper, 37, of Rifle on suspicion of assault and battery.
