Editor’s note: The following information comes from official police and sheriff’s department incident reports. Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

– On March 8, Rifle police arrested Leticia Sanchez, 27, of Rifle on suspicion of drunken driving and driving without a license. Police were called to a residence in the 200 block of East 5th Street on a report of a stolen vehicle; police were later informed that Sanchez was a friend of the complainant and was not charged with auto theft.

– On March 9, Rifle police issued a summons for disorderly conduct to a 12-year-old male after receiving a report of an incident at school; one 12-year-old pushed another into a wall, resulting in a cut to the second boy’s head. He was treated for injuries at Grand River Medical Center.

– On March 11, Rifle police arrested Gustavo Adolfo Archilo, 23, of Rifle on suspicion of an outstanding warrant and various traffic and criminal charges. Police were called to an accident at the intersection of Whiteriver Avenue and Highway 6 and 24; when one driver informed the other he’d call the police, the other driver fled the scene. Archilo was later contacted and allegedly resisted arrest.
