Editor’s note: The following information comes from official police and sheriff’s department incident reports. Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.• On Sept. 20, Rifle police arrested Daniel Vigil, 30, of Rifle on suspicion of domestic violence, assault and possession of methamphetamine. He was taken to Garfield County Jail where he was held on bond. • On Sept. 16, Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of vandalism to a bathroom at the Battlement Mesa Golf Course. There are no suspects in the incident. • On Sept. 15, Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies responded to two reports of thefts from vehicles. The vehicles’ stereo equipment was stolen. Prints were taken off the vehicles, but there were no immediate suspects in the thefts. • On Sept. 17, Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies took a report of a Carbondale school bus that had several holes in its windshield cause by some kind of a gun. The damage was estimated at $700. There are no suspects. • On Sept. 18, Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a vehicle for a traffic stop. The driver, Adrian Mellin-Bueno, 21, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, DUI per se, speeding, no proof of insurance and weaving. • On Sept. 19, Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the city of Rifle. The license plates on the vehicle were fictitious and the insurance was expired. The vehicle was searched because drugs were visible in plain view. Shawna C. Anderson, 35, of Arvada was arrested on suspicion of having fictitious plates, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. • On Sept. 19, Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the city of Rifle.
