Staff ReportOn Oct. 24, Glenwood Springs police took a report of a suspicious incident that occurred at a bank in Glenwood Springs. It was reported that a young woman exchanged 200 rare 50-cent pieces to the bank for face value. All the coins were U.S. currency and range from the 1930s to the 1960s. It is unknown if the coins were stolen, but they were held at the bank just in case. -On Oct. 24, Glenwood Springs police saw a vehicle make a left turn against a solid red arrow. Police noticed signs of intoxication and arrested Roger Williams, 36, of Etowah, Tenn., on suspicion of running a red arrow and drunken driving. -On Oct. 25, Glenwood Springs police saw a vehicle driving without its headlights on and pulled over the driver. That driver, Katharina Donahue, 21, of Glenwood Springs was cited for possession of marijuana and on a warrant. -On Oct. 22, Glenwood Springs police arrested Paul C. Morgan, 45, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of public drinking. On Oct. 23, Glenwood Springs police were dispatched for a report of a hit and run after a vehicle ran over two signs, then allegedly fled the scene. Once pulled over, Charles David Wiencek, 30, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, DUI per se and striking a sign.
