RIFLE, June 20 – A member of a Rifle church at 1420 Access Road reported that someone had been in the church, caused damage and stole items. Rifle officers have taken recent reports of similar activities at other local churches. The incidents are under investigation. GLENWOOD SPRINGS, June 20 – While on patrol in the Glenwood Springs Mall parking lot, an officer observed a vehicle in the parking lot with a dog inside. The temperature outside was 91 degrees, and the animal had been left inside the vehicle for more than 20 minutes. The animal had no water. Police charged Mana Elva Velez, 44, with animal cruelty. GLENWOOD SPRINGS, June 21 – An officer contacted Mark Fletcher Stewart, 27, of Glenwood, in the Village Inn parking lot for a possible stolen item in his possession. Stewart allegedly gave false identification, and resisted arrest by fleeing on foot. Stewart was charged with criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and warrant arrest. GLENWOOD SPRINGS, June 21 – Officers responded to the Springs Sports Bar and Doc Holliday’s Bar for a report of a disturbance. The three men allegedly fighting were taken to jail. Robert Russell Ades, 26, was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing. Daniel Timothy Ades, 20, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and illegal underage possession of alcohol. Shawn Christopher Ades, 21, was charged with fighting. GLENWOOD SPRINGS, June 23 – Officers viewed Angela Jeanne Omlid-Majeres, age unknown, in the back parking lot of U.S. Bank at about 2:10 a.m. urinating in public. She was charged with excreting in public places. GLENWOOD SPRINGS, June 24 – On U.S. Highway 6 near Donegan Road, police observed a vehicle tailgating another vehicle. The tailgater passed the lead vehicle over double yellow lines and into oncoming traffic. The tailgater then reportedly intentionally swerved, attempting to run the lead vehicle off the road. Police chased the tailgater for several blocks and finally stopped the driver when he pulled into his driveway. The lead vehicle followed police and filed a complaint against the driver, Alonso Valles-Rios, 22. Valles was charged with reckless driving, eluding police, driving without a license and driving with an open container.
