Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Somebody swiped a license plate off a vehicle that was parked in an apartment building parking lot at 1329 Pitkin Ave. Police entered the plate into its system as stolen.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Hi-Point Motorsports at 3001 S. Grand Ave. reported a theft from its parking lot on Nov. 22. The stolen item was later located by another agency. The value of the stolen item was estimated to be $6,500.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: On Nov. 24 police responded to a call to Summit Canyon Mountaineering with a complaint that a bottle had been thrown through a window. GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Two individuals were cited for possession of open containers in Glenwood Springs. Adolfo Salcido-Pindela, 23, and Jesus David Sandoval, 25, were issued summonses and released.PARACHUTE: After a warning from the Garfield County Sheriff’s office three days prior, Jodi Sue Welch, 38, was cited for dog at large on Nov. 17.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: A vehicle parked in the Glenwood Springs Mall parking lot had a window broken. The cost of replacement is estimated at $400.RIFLE: A sheriff’s deputy arrested Matthew Rudolph Bear, 19, on multiple traffic offenses including operating a vehicle with illegal license plates.PARACHUTE: A sheriff’s deputy arrested Victoria M. Rickstrew, 42, for DUI after she was stopped for speeding.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Where there’s smoke, there’s … A Sheriff’s deputy contacted two vehicles that were sitting on the side of the road outside. Then he observed a large cloud of smoke inside one of the vehicles, and saw that a passenger appeared to be passed out. Mario Horta-Martinez, 21, was arrested for criminal impersonation. Felipe Horta-Martinez, 23, and Pablo Martinez-Nava, 22, were arrested for unlawful distribution and possession of drug paraphernalia.RIFLE: Bradley Joe Duffy, 38, was arrested for having an outstanding warrant. He was later charged with introducing contraband into a detention facility.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a vehicle that was reported stolen from Adams County. The vehicle had been abandoned a short distance up Transfer Trail and set on fire.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Police arrested Joshua William Moore, 19, for shoplifting and drug paraphernalia after police found stolen merchandise in his vehicle. Incident took place at Wal-Mart.RIFLE: A chase ensued after a sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle. The vehicle was finally stopped when it went down a dead end street. Ramon Caro Ramirez, 24, was arrested on multiple charges including DUI, possession of drugs, unlawful distribution, child abuse, eluding, reckless driving and driving under revocation.RIFLE: A trio of horses appeared to have been abandoned at the Garfield County Fairgrounds. The owner was identified and issued a summons for cruelty to animals.RIFLE: Sheriff’s deputies acting on an anonymous tip arrested Sean Dale Handley, 33, and Anna Louise Storm, 28, for outstanding warrants. After the arrests, a search found narcotics, which led to additional charges including child abuse and reckless endangerment.SILT: Jennifer Rae Logan, 19, was charged with failure to stop for a school bus displaying flashing red lights, and driving under suspension.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: A bondswoman brought in a man wanted for three Garfield County failure to appear warrants for $5,000 and $2,500 and an $11,000 bond for assault. Bird Roy Nightwalker, 24, of Billings, Mont., was taken into custody.RIFLE: Garfield County Sheriff’s Deputies contacted a vehicle with two occupants. Deputies learned that the license plates were fictitious, that the driver was driving under restraint and that the two occupants were in violation of protective orders. Sheree Elizabeth DeGrace, 36, and Scott Charles Brooks, 35, were arrested.RIFLE: Charles Brandon Wells, 18, was arrested for driving under revocation of his license on alcohol charges.CARBONDALE: Rigoberto Santiago Sanchez, 37, was arrested for driving under suspension and driving with illegal license plates.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Victor Hugo Mares-Gutierrez, 22, was arrested for DUI, driving without a valid license, weaving and failure to stop at a stop sign.PARACHUTE: Sheriff’s deputies took a report of possible child abuse in the Parachute area.
