Sheriff’s deputies saw a woman leaning against her vehicle with her pants down. The car was parked on the railroad tracks near Canyon Creek exit of Interstate 70. The railroad was shut down for nearly two hours. Erin Colleen Alfstad, 39, who lives close to the area, was arrested for DUI, careless driving, parking in a prohibited place and obstructing a highway or other passageway. She said she stopped and was just cooling off.RIFLE: Laurie Patrick Turner, 48, was arrested after a theft investigation. Turner was arrested for theft, obstructing a a peace officer, second-degree assault of a peace officer and resisting arrest.RIFLE: Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Timothy Bailey, 39, on charges of possession, harassment, third-degree assault and having an outstanding warrant.PARACHUTE: After sheriff’s deputies were notified of a traffic complaint involving two vehicles on Interstate 70, Adam Russell Brooks, 29, was arrested for harassment, reckless driving and driving without a valid license.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Joshua Nickless Shroyer, 25, and Michael Morgan Steele, 24, are accused removing the caulk from around their cell doors in jail. They are charged with criminal mischief.NEW CASTLE: Wendall Kim Porter, 51, was arrested for third-degree criminal trespass.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Tiffany Rose Millerman, 21, was arrested after she turned herself in for an active warrant.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Matthew Thomas Ballance, 31, was stopped for speeding, then arrested for DUI, possession of marijuana and attempting to elude a police officer.PARACHUTE: Robert Lynn Zimmerman, 50, was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy and found to have two active warrants. He was also arrested for DUI, driving under revocation and having an open container in the vehicle.BATTLEMENT MESA: Steven Craig Stewart, 45, was stopped by sheriff’s deputies for several traffic violations. He was arrested for DUI and careless driving.GLENWOOD SPRINGS: Ruben Leyva Contreras, 25, was stopped for speeding and arrested for having a warrant.CARBONDALE: James Daren Hughes, 41, was arrested for violating a restraining order.
