Editor’s note: The following information comes from official police and sheriff’s department incident reports. Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

June 15: Hot pots ” Police cited Jose Hernandez Guillen, 44, of Carbondale, with trespassing at the hot springs along the Colorado River known as the hot pots.

June 15: Open container ” Police cited Leslie Stroup and Russell Coots with open container violations for allegedly carrying open beers while walking along the highway.



June 14: DUI ” Police contacted a vehicle suspected of speeding. They arrested Leanne Elizabeth Parker, 36, of Glenwood Springs, on suspicion of DUI and speeding.

June 13: DUI ” Police stopped a vehicle suspected of speeding. They arrested Margarito Alva Campos Alvarez, 42, of Glenwood Springs, on suspicion of DUI, speeding and driving without a valid license.



June 12: Panhandling ” Emory Lee Hobbs Jr., 59, of Glenwood Springs, was cited for allegedly urinating in Two Rivers Park and panhandling.

June 11: Harassment ” Police answered a report of someone threatening a store clerk. They arrested Gregory Alan Baisi, 39, of Wyoming, on suspicion of harassment.

June 10: Whiskey in the park ” Police contacted three men believed to be drinking whiskey in Two Rivers Park. They cited Bobby Ralph Walker, Clyde Perry Weaver and Stephen Earl Chevrette with drinking in a public area.

June 9: DUI ” Police responded to an accident on Highway 6. They arrested Tyler Allan Whiteside, 40, of Lakewood, on suspicion of DUI, careless driving, failure to provide proof of insurance and driving under revocation.

June 16: Underage consumption ” Police cited Daniel Cordova, 18, with underage possession or consumption of alcohol.

June 15: Police answered a report of a complaint about loud noise from a car stereo. They cited Nickolas Andrew Conchola, 18, of Rifle, with a noise violation.

June 12: Brush fire ” Police responded to a brush fire near the 800 block of Wamsley Way. They believe someone intentionally set the fire. The case is under investigation.

June 10: DUI ” Police responded to an accident at the Highway 13 and Interstate 70 interchange. They contacted a vehicle believed to have left the scene of the accident and arrested Jason Michael Cheatum, 33, of Wheatridge, on suspicion of DUI, following too closely and driving under revocation.
