Editor’s note: The following information comes from official police and sheriff’s department incident reports. Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

Oct. 16: Marijuana ” Police contacted a man who was in an altercation on Blake Avenue. They cited Isiah Dominique Gordon, 21, of Colorado Springs, with possession of marijuana.

Oct. 15: Eluding ” Police responded to a report of domestic violence at a restaurant. They chased and caught the suspect. Police arrested Daniel Eduardo Romo Mora, 35, of Glenwood Springs, on suspicion of assault, criminal trespass, careless driving, attempting to elude a police officer, driving with a license under restraint, DUI, no proof of insurance, displaying fictitious plates and a warrant for contempt of court in a traffic violation case.

Oct. 15: Vodka ” Police investigated a reported theft of an $8 bottle of vodka at a liquor store. They cited Brandon Jay Shotton, 38, of Carbondale, with petty theft.

Oct. 14: Dog at large ” Police responded to a report of a dog that was hit by a car. They cited the owner, Misti Mahina Murphy, 29, of Glenwood Springs, with a dog at large violation.

Oct. 13: Hit-and-run ” Police answered a call about a hit-and-run accident on Blake Avenue. They arrested Simforoso Mejai, 29, of Glenwood Springs, on suspicion of DUI, careless driving, failure to report an accident and driving without a valid license.

Oct. 19: Harassment ” Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance near Glenwood Springs. They arrested Nora Kolleck, 58, of Glenwood Springs, on suspicion of criminal mischief.

Oct. 16: Burglary ” Someone reported $2,600 worth of items were stolen from a home in the Cottonwood Trailer Park in Rifle. Someone got inside by forcing the back door open.

Oct. 16: Assault ” Deputies responded with Rifle police to Wal-Mart for a report of a man who was severely beaten and bleeding from the head and face. A suspect was located who was covered in blood. Authorities arrested Bruce Allen, 42, of Rifle, on suspicion of assault and failure to register as a sex offender.

Oct. 14: Gasoline ” Deputies investigated a report of 150 gallons of gasoline stolen from two buses near the Garfield County Regional Airport.

Oct. 14: Cocaine ” Deputies stopped a vehicle in Carbondale suspected of driving with a defective taillight. They arrested Octavio Serna, 27, of Carbondale, on suspicion of cocaine possession, driving with a license under revocation and a warrant for failure to appear on a DUI charge.

Oct. 12: Stolen pickup ” Deputies took a report of a pickup truck stolen in the Rifle area.

Oct. 11: Stolen Harley ” Deputies were notified of a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was stolen from the Rifle area.

Oct. 6: DUI ” Deputies investigated a report of harassment in Battlement Mesa. They located Kevin Eastman, 36, of Parachute, and arrested him on suspicion of harassment, DUI, an open container of alcohol violation and driving with a license under restraint.
