Editor’s note: The following information comes from official police and sheriff’s department incident reports. Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.
Dec. 8: Harassment ” Police responded to a report of a disturbance between a man and a woman at a motel. They arrested Matthew Rod Kline, 25, of Glenwood Springs, on suspicion of false reporting to authorities, harassment and violating a restraining order.
Dec. 7: Open container ” Police stopped a vehicle suspected of a traffic violation. They cited Elmer Witzil, 35, on suspicion of an open container violation. Police say Witzil, a passenger, had an open 12-pack of beer with two open bottles of beer inside.
Dec. 7: Bar fight ” Police responded to the Oasis Restaurant for a report of a fight. Reyes Gonsalez Sotelo, 46, of Silt, and Luis Jesus Castillo Barragan, 20, of Washington, were both cited with a fighting violation. Castillo Barragan was arrested, also on suspicion of underage consumption or possession of alcohol.
Dec. 6: Theft ” Police cited Corrine Reda Trujillo, 34, of Glenwood Springs with a petty theft violation. She allegedly stole $2 worth of items from City Market.
Dec. 6: Warrant ” Police responded to a report of a suspicious person at the Book Train. They arrested Barbara Jeanne Homer, 25, of Glenwood Springs, on an arrest warrant for failure to appear in a larceny case.
Dec. 6: DUI ” Police stopped a vehicle weaving near the intersection of Four Mile Road and Midland Avenue. They arrested Zachariah James McCullough, 22, of Glenwood Springs, on suspicion of DUI, driving with expired plates, littering and weaving.
Dec. 5: Construction site fight ” Police investigated a report of a fight at a construction site on Midland Avenue. They arrested Eduardo Castillo Zuniga, 37, of Montrose, on suspicion of assault.
Dec. 3: Liquor theft ” Police responded to a report of a theft at Roaring Fork Liquor. They arrested David Daniel Cain, 23, on suspicion of petty theft.
Dec. 2: Assault ” Police contacted a man suspected of domestic violence against a woman. They arrested Randy Wade Hausinger, 46, on suspicion of assault and violation of a restraining order.
Dec. 1: DUI ” Police pulled over a vehicle after a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Police arrested Robert Ray Erickson, 48, of Glenwood Springs, on suspicion of DUI and careless driving.
Dec. 2: Burglary ” Deputies responded to a report of a burglary in the Glenwood Springs area on County Road 109. Multiple items over $1,000 were taken.
Dec. 2: Warrant ” Deputies stopped a vehicle suspected of traffic violations in the Glenwood Springs area. They cited a juvenile driver with displaying fictitious plates and failure to provide proof of insurance. A passenger, Justin Casey Schaaf, 26, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested on a warrant for an alleged protection order violation. Deputies impounded the vehicle.
Dec. 2: Unsafe backing ” Deputies cited a 15-year-old in the Coal Ridge High School parking lot with an unsafe backing violation after his sedan scraped another vehicle.
Dec. 2: Revoked license ” Deputies pulled over a vehicle in Rifle in which they’d previously arrested the driver for driving with a suspended license and displaying fictitious plates. They arrested Raymond Calvin Wasson, 32, on suspicion of the charges.
