On Feb. 12, Rifle police took a report of a 9-year-old boy who allegedly kicked, then tried to punch a teacher. The teacher was not injured, but the boy was suspended from school. -On Feb. 13, Rifle police found a backpack left in the 800 block of Whiteriver Avenue. The name in the backpack was Nicholas Long, 18, of Rifle. When Long was found, police discovered he was wanted on a warrant, so he was arrested. -On Feb. 11, Glenwood Springs police reported that a man called to apologize for crimes he committed. -On Feb. 11, Glenwood Springs found a man sleeping at Sayre Park. Upon investigation, police reported that Bruce M. Lindner, 49, listed as a transient, failed to register as a sex offender. He was arrested and lodged in Garfield County Jail. -On Feb. 12, Glenwood Springs police pulled over Patrick R. Callahan, 38, of Basalt for “bad driving.” Officers saw signs of intoxication and Callahan was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. -On Feb. 12, Glenwood Springs police received a call about a possible drunken driver. Richard A. Jones, 57, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and taken to detox. -On Feb. 13, Glenwood Springs police got a report of a disturbance. According to the report, Adam J. Burke, 19, of Silt allegedly pushed his way into a residence, assaulted two occupants there, then fled on foot. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree burglary and third-degree assault.
