(Editor’s note: The following information comes from official police department incident reports. Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven or otherwise pleading guilty in court.)-On June 26, Rifle police responded to West 26th Street for a report of a man slumped over his steering wheel. Officers and ambulance personnel arrived, but were unable to awaken the man. The man, Gregory Wood, 30, of Rifle was taken to Grand River Medical Center, released, then arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, driving under restraint and compulsory insurance.-On June 25, Glenwood Springs police arrested Marlyn O. Garcia, 20, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of harassment after allegedly harassing another woman. -On June 26, Glenwood Springs police pulled over 19-year-old Derrick M. Engel and reported signs of narcotic impairment. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and careless driving. -On June 27, Glenwood Springs police pulled over a driver whose vehicle had a broken tail light. When pulled over, the officer reportedly noted signs of intoxication and arrested John Valiton, 25, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of drunken driving, DUI per se, driving with expired plates and no tail lights.-On June 28, Glenwood Springs police reportedly saw a vehicle back into a parked vehicle and drive off at the 700 block of Cooper Avenue. The driver, Erin E. Couper, 22, of New Castle was arrested on suspicion of unsafe backing, drunken driving, DUI per se and failure to report accidents. -On June 28, Glenwood Springs police pulled over the driver of a vehicle they reportedly saw run a red light and noticed some signs of intoxication. Deborah A. Vale, 35, of New Castle was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and running a red light. -On June 28, Glenwood Springs police pulled over a driver for allegedly speeding and discovered signs of intoxication on the driver, Catherine V. Simonton, 38, of Glenwood Springs. She was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, DUI per se and speeding 5 to 9 mph over the speed limit. -On June 29, Glenwood Springs police were called for a report of a person stealing apples from a tree. Juana Ibarra-Cardenas, 23, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and trespass. -On June 27, Glenwood Springs police arrested Imad A. Burleigh, 18, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of drunken driving, underage drinking and weaving. -On June 27, Glenwood Springs police and the Glenwood Springs Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at the corner of Midland Avenue and Gilstrap Court. The fire was extinguished.
