Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.• On Sept. 7, a man called Glenwood Springs police to report that a woman was hitting him. Lori J. Gonzales, 29, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence. • On Sept. 7, Glenwood Springs police received a report that two vehicles were spraypainted overnight on 26th Street. The case is under investigation. • On Sept. 7, Glenwood Springs police received a report that a man was weaving and brandishing a gun on Interstate 70 while driving east toward the city. The driver, Rigoberto Madrid, 23, of Rifle, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, driving under restraint, no proof of insurance and on a Garfield County warrant. • On Sept. 9, Glenwood Springs police took a report of a man who had been threatened by a juvenile with a baseball bat in the Safeway parking lot. • On Sept. 11, Rifle police arrested Jose Chavez, 39, of Rifle on suspicion of drunken driving. • On Sept. 12, Glenwood Springs police pulled over a man for weaving. Upon investigation, police suspected the man was under the influence of alcohol. James W. Deyarmond, 39, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and weaving.
