Editor’s note: The following information comes from official police department incident reports. Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven or otherwise pleading guilty in court.-On July 23, Rifle police received a report of a woman walking along the 100 block of East 3rd Street throwing rocks through windows. Police found the woman, Liandre Obrien, 31, of Rifle, and arrested her on suspicion of criminal mischief. -On July 25, Glenwood Springs police were notified of an assault that occurred in front of the Hotel Denver. The victim said he was assaulted by a transient. Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. -On July 25, Glenwood Springs police received a report that eight vehicles’ tires were cut with an unknown object while parked in the 600 block of Bennett Avenue. -On July 26, Glenwood Springs police saw a vehicle weaving on 6th Street. The driver, Manuel Bernabe Martinez, 36, of Glenwood Springs, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, DUI per se, changing lanes when unsafe and no proof of insurance. -On July 26, Glenwood Springs police responded to a two-car accident at 6th and Laurel. One of the drivers, Adan Silva-Juarez, 23, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, careless driving and no driver’s license. -On July 26, Glenwood Springs police took a report of a fight at the Affordable Inn. The fight started after one man, Juan Alejandro Torres-Chavez, 20, of Glenwood Springs, allegedly broke into another man’s car. The other man reportedly saw the break-in in progress. The suspect ran, but was caught by police and arrested on suspicion of theft, criminal mischief and first-degree criminal trespass. -On July 27, Glenwood Springs police arrested Loren John Fletcher, 26, of Glenwood Springs on suspicion of drunken driving and weaving. -On July 27, Glenwood Springs police were called for a report of domestic violence on Highway 6 & 24. Police reported finding that the female victim was pushed the night before and kept from using the telephone. Fidel Rivera Ramirez, 40, of Glenwood Springs was arrested on suspicion of harassment and wiretapping prohibited.
