Editor’s note: The following information comes from official police department incident reports. Arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven or otherwise pleading guilty in court.-On July 26, Garfield County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Ever Vega, 28, of Carbondale while driving on County Road 100 for allegedly speeding. Vega was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, driving with a suspended license and speeding. -On July 29, Glenwood Springs police received a report from a woman that a man broke into her Soccer Field Road home and “satisfied” himself on her personal belongings. Police are investigating the incident. -On July 29, Glenwood Springs police received a report from a man that a dead cat had been placed in the back of his vehicle, his wipers were glued to his windshield and sugar was placed in his gas tank. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle. -On July 30, Glenwood Springs police arrested Bruce Warren Heckathorn, 38, of Castle Rock on suspicion of drunken driving, DUI per se, speeding and carrying a weapon while intoxicated.
