A recent Associated Press story about a woman’s lawsuit over a sewage flood in her home mischaracterized the defendant. Donni Cochran’s home was flooded with sewage in 2006. She filed a lawsuit against the West Glenwood Springs Sanitation District. The story referred to “a city sewer line” and said Cochran claimed “the city didn’t respond” to the lawsuit. But according to Glenwood Springs municipal government, Cochran is not a sanitary sewer customer of the city.
