In an article in the Friday, June 25, Post Independent, National Motorists Association spokesman Erik Skrum said, “There are drunken driving checkpoints, overtime grants; they’re getting paid for this. Politicians are always pushing for higher fines and the police are getting some of this.” A story Friday about the state’s new DUI law incorrectly reported who said the quote.
