A story in Tuesday’s Post Independent incorrectly reported statistics from the Garfield County Assessor’s office as representing tax revenues for school districts in western Garfield County. The statistics represented changing assessed property values in those district, and don’t mean that the money is going to the school districts in western Garfield County. The Post Independent regrets any confusion this error has created.

See Thursday’s Post Independent for an updated story about the tax revenues and how they impact the school districts.
