A photo published in the June 19 edition of a float in the Strawberry Days Parade, featuring cute children dressed up as characters from the Wizard of Oz, incorrectly identified the sponsor of the float. The float was a project of Lil’ Tikes Early Learning Center of Silt, and was co-sponsored by Moonlight Concrete, Glenwood Medical Associates, Gonzales Painting and Hy-Way Feed and Ranch Supply.

A headline in the June 21 Post Independent incorrectly stated Garfield County’s action regarding health impact studies of the Battlement Mesa community. The county government has contracted with the Colorado School of Public Health to design a series of studies regarding air quality and other potential impacts from gas drilling activities, but has not contracted for an actual study or studies at this point.
