River Manor Apartments fire: A story in the Jan. 26 edition incorrectly reported the number of apartments burned in an arson fire on Dec. 2. The fire burned three apartments, not four, according to River Manor manager Kate Baker. Of the 12 families dislocated by the fire, 11 moved to other apartments in the complex within three days, Baker said.

In addition to help from Bea Underwood Elementary School, the families received immediate help from the River Manor staff and businesses and individuals in Parachute, Baker said.

Ski Spree Results: In the agate listings in Tuesday’s edition, an under 13 skier who placed third in the Need for Speed was incorrectly listed by race organizers. The skier was Ely Bontrager, with a speed of 33 mph.
