An article appearing in Wednesday’s Post Independent incorrectly stated that when Wal-Mart manager Mike Daulton first came to Glenwood Springs, some small business owners, including a fly-fishing specialty shop, didn’t want to talk to him. Daulton has opened 158 Wal-Mart stores around the country. He said on Wednesday the Glenwood Springs business community has always reacted positively to him and to Wal-Mart, and that the fly-fishing shop reported in the article is in Salida, and not Glenwood Springs.

Wednesday’s Our Towns section incorrectly described JoEllen White as being retired. She teaches third grade at Sopris Elementary School in Glenwood Springs.
