GRAND AVENUE PAVING: A story in the Jan. 30-31 edition incorrectly reported that there is little difference in cost between asphalt and concrete paving. The cost must be averaged out over 30 years for concrete to be comparable to asphalt. But the construction time for the two materials would be very close for a down-to-the-dirt project such as the Grand Avenue Paving Project.
