Council to approve 2004 budget

GLENWOOD SPRINGS – The Glenwood Springs City Council is set to approve the 2004 city budget during its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Glenwood Springs City Hall. Also on the agenda, City Council will:-Designate Oct. 16 as Communities in Motion Day. -Award a bid for demolition and deconstruction of residential properties located at 1201, 1477 and 1601 Riverside Drive. -Consider a stream physical habitat assessment for the Roaring Fork watershed. -Receive a quarterly update from the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association. -Discuss vendor fees. -Consider a resolution to adopt the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority’s Corridor Investment Study plan as the long-term development strategy. -Consider a resolution opposing state Referendum A. -Consider an ordinance correcting the part of the city’s municipal code that deals with payment of taxes by retailers. -Consider an ordinance amending the municipal code regarding a waiver of system improvement fees for businesses relocating to downtown Glenwood Springs. -Hold a work session on the RFTA Corridor Investment Study, 5 p.m.
