Craven dies of natural causes

ASPEN – According to the Pitkin County Coroner’s office, Judge T. Peter Craven died of natural causes stemming from coronary artery disease.The chief judge for the 9th Judicial District died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday. He was training on his bicycle in Aspen. Police responded to the scene in less than a minute with defibrillators from the time they received the 911 call, Craven was pronounced dead at Aspen Valley Hospital. He was 65 and lived in Carbondale. Funeral services and a full obituary will appear in the Post Independent at a later time.
