Creekside couple commends communities

Dear Editor,

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone involved last Saturday with combating the fire – firefighters, police, city and county officials, etc. Considering the chaos of that evening, we feel that everyone did a marvelous job of saving lives and homes. We are indebted to so many who helped save our home on Creekside Court. I have just recently found out that volunteer firefighters from Basalt came up from Donegan Road through the creek to the back of our house to help save it. Rifle firefighters were here, too. We cannot thank them enough for risking their lives. What wonderful neighboring communities we have! Thanks!
