Crews knock down fire near Willits

Crews knocked down a brush fire early Friday evening near Willits. The fire was at Willits Lane and Evans Road. Smoke was visible from Highway 82 and housing throughout the area. The cause of the fire was unknown, but Kevin Issel of Snowmass Fire Protection District said it was suspicious. The only structure damaged was a small storage shed.
