Crimestoppers looking for New Castle burglars

NEW CASTLE – Police here are asking the public to help solve a home burglary on Buckhorn Drive that happened on the night of March 26.

According to a report from the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, the burglars got away with a .40 caliber, semi-automatic pistol, two laptop computers, a surround-sound theater system and speakers, a Playstation 3 gaming console with several games, a flat screen TV and a fireproof safe.

The break-in happened some time between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., according to the New Castle Police Department.

The crime has been logged into the Garfield County Crimestoppers system, and the county is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of a suspect or suspects involved in the incident.
