CRMS climbers take 4th at state

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – After having won the Western Slope Regional as a boys team, the Colorado Rocky Mountain School climbing team headed to the Colorado High School Climbing League’s state finals in Colorado Springs with confidence.

CRMS qualified five boys and one girl to state. Competition in Colorado Springs consisted of route climbing and bouldering.

The CRMS boys finished fourth overall.



Ben Dowson was the top finisher, claiming seventh. Paris Yaffe was 16th and Mason Cazedessus was 18th. Frank Adgate and Juan Pablo Alcocer finished in the top 28 out of 78 invited competitors.

Freshman Lea Linse finished 11th overall for the girls.
