Dale Shrull named Grand Junction Daily Sentinel managing editor
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel has appointed Dale Shrull as managing editor.
The newspaper reported Friday that Shrull was promoted from sports editor, the position he held for two years.
He replaces Mike Wiggins as managing editor at the Sentinel. Wiggins and Erin McIntire, a former reporter at the Daily Sentinel, purchased the Ouray County Plaindealer newspaper.
Shrull joined the Sentinel in April 2013 as a sportswriter.
Shrull grew up in New Castle native and is a former editor for the Glenwood Springs Post Independent and Rifle Citizen Telegram. He also previously worked at newspapers in Montrose and Cortez.
