Daniel James Sullivan

Daniel Sullivan passed away at his home in Glenwood Springs on July 7, 2005. He was 87 years old.

Daniel was born on Nov. 17, 1917, in Scranton, Pa., to Florence Worthington. He then moved to Ohio and married Marie Patricia Straffen on June 10, 1942, in Napoleon, Ohio.

He worked for the Deluxe Inc./Lithographer for 28 years and served in the U.S. Army for four years.

He was an area resident for two months.

He was a member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; son Thomas Daniel (Mary Ann) Sullivan; and grandchildren Kathleen Marie Sullivan, Daniel James Sullivan II, Jeffrey Thomas Sullivan, Elise Dekoker Sullivan and Emily Sunshine Sullivan.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the Holy Trinity Church in Avon, Ohio. Father Misenko will officiate. Spreading of the ashes will be in Colorado.

The family will receive friends immediately following at Barb and Dan Bell’s home in Bay Village, Ohio.

Farnum-Holt Funeral Home of Glenwood Springs is entrusted with the arrangements.
