Date set for Craven commemoration

A public commemoration gathering for public tribute honoring District Court Judge T. Peter Craven has been scheduled for 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Glenwood Springs Recreation Center, 100 Wulfsohn Road. Letters and cards for inclusion in the remembrance book can be sent to Garfield County Combined Courts, C/O James Bradford, 109 Eighth St., Room 104, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Roaring Fork Hospice, P.O. Box 1970, Glenwood Springs, CO 81602. Judge Craven was a member of the organization’s board. Cards of condolence can be sent to the family at Craven Family, P.O. Box 900, Carbondale, CO 81623.Please be advised that all courthouses in the 9th Judicial District (Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Meeker, Rangely and Rifle) will be closed to allow employees to attend the commemoration.
