David Charles Rowe

David Charles Rowe passed away June 14, 2005, in Parachute. He had just turned 69.David was born June 14, 1936, in Denver, to Charles E. and Ruth M. (Barber) Rowe. He served in the U.S. Army.David married Patricia Joy Gersky on Aug. 17, 1963, in Denver.He worked for the Athletic Department of the University of Colorado. He loved to go fishing and hunting. David liked all sports, especially baseball. At one time, he played semi-pro baseball in Maine. He loved to travel and was a good husband, father and grandfather. David was a member of Crown Peak Baptist Church of Parachute. He will be missed by many.David is survived by his wife; son David Rowe Jr., of Portland, Ore., daughter Dawn (Dale) Magee, of Parachute; and four grandchildren.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Crown Peak Baptist Church of Parachute, with Pastor Rick Van Vleet officiating.Rifle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
