David Charles Williams

David Charles Williams, 60, of Glenwood Springs, passed away April 15, 2008.

David was born Sept. 10, 1947, in Lebanon, Ore. to Charles and Euna (Kracke) Williams.

He fell in love with Colorado and the Glenwood area while working for the State of Colorado on the I-70 construction from Vail Pass to Rifle.

David was a deeply religious man who loved the Lord and served him with joy in his heart. He was a member of the Grand Valley Christian Church in Parachute.

David is survived by Rose Romero; ex-wife of 34 years, Ann Williams of Rifle; daughter Heather Williams of Rifle; brother Richard Williams of Wahoo, Neb.; and sister Susan Schumm of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the Grand Valley Christian Church in Parachute. His ashes will be spread on Vail Pass.

Farnum Holt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
