David Patrick Stamps
David Stamps, 36, of Silt, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 18, 2007. He was born Aug. 7, 1971, in Rome, New York, to Tracey Stamps and Aniela Spencer.David moved to the valley five years ago from the Colorado Springs area. He married Tara (Coughlin) Stamps Aug. 5, 2005. They resided in Silt with their children. David was employed by Custom Structural Steel for the past year as a welder, where he made many friends.He was a loving husband and father, and a wonderful friend to those who had the opportunity to know him. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his parents; wife; children Sierra and David Jr.; step-children Kasie and Joshua Dickerson; brothers Travis and Scott Stamps; and his sister Diane Selvage.In lieu of flowers, the family has established the Davey and Sierra Stamps Memorial Fund at any Alpine Bank location.A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the Rifle Funeral Home, 1400 Access Road in Rifle. Burial will follow immediately at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rifle.
